We are the oldest and largest worldwide organization supporting the cruising lifestyle. Founded in 1952 by six cruising couples in California and now with members worldwide, today’s SSCA remains true to the traditions of its original members — sharing cruising information, fostering camaraderie, and leaving a clean wake, that those who follow will be welcome.

Cruising Stations


The SSCA Cruising Station Program was developed in the 1970s, with an emphasis on camaraderie and a “One World” philosophy. Since then over 150 volunteer Cruising Station Hosts worldwide welcome our members to ports near and far, promoting the cruising tradition of world class hospitality. Members sailing to one of our CS locations can contact them in advance for a warm welcome and some local knowledge.
